This Rooibos Chai Red Tea is an herbal tea made with a base of Rooibos tea with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and a touch of stevia added. This herbal chai blend has the benefit of being naturally caffeine free. We drink it hot with just milk and find the natural sweetness just perfectly satisfying. This is one of our favorite teas. It is just brimming with flavor!
I have completely replaced my coffee habit with this tea. Sometimes I add extra ginger and stevia ( I have a sweet tooth) and, for extra fun, I add almond milk. I can drink this right before bed and it doesn't interrupt my sleep and I wake up and have another cup.
I gave up regular drinking of caffeine in 2010 and it took me a while to find a robust hot beverage to drink in the morning in its stead. I started with regular rooibos chai but wanted to find one which would be free of more pesticide. Lucky me, I also found the best tasting one yet! The smell whenever I open a bag or the jar I use is incredible.
